The Canadian Silver Maple Leaf coin series is thirty years old! This three-coin collection features three different pur silver Maple Leaf coin designs dated 2018. Each coin is minted from one troy ounce of. 9999 pure silver and is a sovereign coin backed by the Canadian government. In addition to the famous regular issue Maple Leaf coin featuring an image of Queen Elizabeth II and a sugar maple leaf, the mint has also issues a coin with a “30” mark on the reverse, and a coin with an incuse design (design sunken below surface of the coin). Both of these coins have a limited mintage of 250,000 coins, which increases their collectability. The incuse coin is the first ever incuse silver bullion coin in the world, and this is the first time an image of Queen Elizabeth II has been released with an incuse design. All three coins feature a textured maple leaf security privy mark, micro-engraved with laser technology and visible only under magnification. Etched within the maple leaf security mark are the two digits indicating the coins’ production year. Each micro-engraving is encoded, scanned, and recorded at the mint for future authentication giving each coin their unique Bullion DNA. A wonderful, must-have, addition to any Maple Collection.
